Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? What internships or jobs did you have before your current role?
I majored in communication, mass communications, and minored in education. I initially thought I wanted to be a sportscaster. Through UCLA, I completed internships with Fox Sports and the LA Dodgers in their immediate relations department.
Those experiences actually showed me that I didn't want to pursue that career path. As part of my education minor classes at UCLA, I participated in courses that involved supporting schools and doing various activities there. I realized that was what I wanted to do later in life.
I then pursued education and learned about Teach for America in one of my classes. That's how I ended up joining Teach for America, and it's where I began my career after graduating from UCLA.
