What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

This is advice for both retail and PR, but I think it's applicable to any job, any discipline, in any industry. It can be very up and down.

Retail itself can be a volatile space because trends change quickly. In PR, you'll certainly have your good days and your bad days, like when you get a bad headline and there's nothing to do about it.

So, the advice I wish I could have given myself and that I would give to someone else is to ride the highs, keep a level head during the lows, and trust that everything comes back around.
