What does a day in the life of a manager of global PR look like?
Every day looks very different, and I think that's something you'll hear from anyone who works in PR. It's one of the things that I find really exciting and refreshing about the work that I do.
Many days I'll wake up to an urgent press inquiry in my inbox, and that will almost always take precedence over everything else. So, depending on what I wake up to in my email in the morning, that really charts the course of my day.
But I would say every day I can count on doing a good amount of writing. Writing is a really big part of my job. Whether I'm writing a press release, writing an executive brief, or helping write media responses, I'm almost always doing some sort of writing, which I love.
That's ultimately why I got into public relations: because I love writing. And then also, a good chunk of my day is just in meetings with other teams. So, meetings with legal, meetings with brand marketing, meetings with social media, just to make sure that we're all aligned for things like upcoming product launches.
