What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate or graduate student might consider?

I also came into this role as an entry-level position, so I can definitely relate to this question. I would say a great entry point would be analyst roles, whether that's business systems engineering or strategy focused.

A program coordinator or junior consultant role at Booz Allen also offers a great way to learn how a large organization operates while building skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving, especially for a client. Those types of skills are learned on the job; they aren't taught as well in undergrad. Booz Allen gives new grad roles a lot of opportunities for that.
