What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?

I would say trusting your gut. A lot of people throw that around: "trust your gut" and "listen to your body." It's kind of a simple phrase, easy to say, but it's really true.

We get advice from everyone, and everyone has an opinion. People tell you, "You should do it this way," and so on.

I think you have to be able to filter out the helpful advice from the unhelpful advice. Then, trust your gut as to what you're going to do based on the valuable advice you've received. Even if the advice conflicts with your gut, you have to trust yourself enough to go with that instinct.
