What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

What I enjoy most about being in my industry are the conversations that come about when I say what I do. I imagine it's very similar for you.

People joke about being at a party and telling someone you're a doctor, and then they ask about their pain. I'm sure that can be annoying, but in a similar way, I like when I say I'm a coach.

Sometimes the responses aren't great, but for the most part, people say, "That's cool. What's that like?" or "Oh my gosh, I need a coach. What kind of coaching do you do?"

Others say, "Oh, that sounds really interesting. You must hear a lot of stories." That's always fun to talk about.

I've also met some other great coaches, and it's nice to have a network of mental health professionals you can chat with. You can also help clients if they need something you can't provide, but a coach who specializes in that can help them.
