Could you walk me through your career path? Please start with your experiences in college, any internships or jobs you've had before, and then tell me about your current role as project manager.

I started working in college, primarily for the athletic director. I helped manage the course event center, setting up and taking down for events like basketball and volleyball games. I also managed activities within the arena.

After college, I had a finance internship at Franklin Templeton. As a political science and economics major, I found myself working with spreadsheets, which wasn't enjoyable. Upon graduating, I sought a different path.

I walked around the city and saw a boom in construction with many job sites. I walked into the Webco office and asked for a job. They needed help, and after a few interviews, I met many great people.

Webco hired me as a full-time intern on the Samsung project in San Jose for six months. A man named Jess mentored me and taught me a lot. After six months, I was promoted and worked through various aspects of Webco's business, including concrete work, estimating, and pre-construction. I even worked as a carpenter in the field.

About two years ago, I left Webco to try something new, as there was a lull in commercial construction. I transitioned into residential building, specifically prefab ADUs. While it was a good experience, it was challenging, and I found the homeowner interactions and contractor performance different from my previous roles.

Through my network, I got a job at Related, a developer. They have developed numerous projects globally, with a strong focus in New York. Related also has a construction division where they self-perform projects.

Currently, I work closely with the development team, managing projects and ensuring design concepts are followed. I also contribute to future projects by developing conceptual budgets.
