What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

I would say always find resources that keep you updated on the hot new thing. Whether it's on the investments side or the analytics side, more so the analytics side.

You hear about generative AI everywhere, and having a trusted resource you can go to to learn about those things so you can speak effectively to it is really important. In the analytics space, you can't just rest on the tried and true, known stuff.

Technology is evolving all the time. There are new platforms and new ways of doing things. With increased processing power, we're able to do things that previously weren't impossible, but were impractical based on run times or energy consumption.

So, if somebody said, "Hey, here's this website, check here for the latest news," again, you don't need to be an expert. Just make sure you can speak somewhat intelligently to what's going on in the market.
