What skills are most important for a job like yours?
Critical reading and writing skills are very important. It's probably not a skill that even going through undergraduate really prepares you for. Even law school probably doesn't really prepare you for it.
Presenting oral argument and being at least somewhat articulate in the way you speak are also key. Additionally, you need to be able to handle a certain amount of stress and anxiety that comes with the job. This is especially true when interacting with opposing counsel, judges, or clients, as these can be stressful situations.
