What does a day in the life of an attorney look like?
It is nothing like the movies and TV shows, so if that's what you think it is, you're going to be greatly disappointed. I'm sitting at my chair right now, eight hours a day. I'm typing on my computer, reading documents, and on phone calls.
It took me a couple of years to get used to basically being in one spot almost all day, five days a week. In school, you go from class to class, you're moving around, you're going outside.
I kind of joke with my kids that it's like prison, but you get your recess, you get your outside time. When you have an office job, whether you're an attorney or some other type, you miss that. So, it's a lot of sitting and a lot of reading and writing.
