What skills are most important for a job like yours?

Since I specifically do Science Education, a relatively deep knowledge of science is obviously important. Another would be writing skills. I do hire outside people, but I also write a lot of my own curriculum, so that's important.

Then the other things would probably be a knowledge of what teachers need. My experience in the classroom has really helped with that, and I spend a lot of time talking to teachers. So I know what they currently need, since things are changing a lot.

An ability to set and manage a budget is another big one.
