Q5: Favorite parts - role

What do you enjoy most about being in your role?

I'm a big fan of servant leadership. When I ask something of my employees, they genuinely want to do it.

If I ask for help, I don't get one person saying they'll do it; I get the whole team saying, "Hey, we can all do it." I enjoy going into work and having people who want to do things, rather than me forcing them.

I feel good going into work knowing that the teams I'm working with enjoy working with me. This is unlike other teams where the manager might be more manipulative or dictatorial, and can never get anything done. My team can get anything done because they are always ready to do things.

I feel this is enjoyable for me because they know I would do the same thing I'm asking them to do. I'll be on the floor just like them, and I'll do anything they ask me to do. If they have any issues with their job, pay, or position, I would fight for them, and I get the same thing back.

It's really enjoyable to be in that type of environment because the work isn't always fun. The work can sometimes be boring, tedious, or stressful. So, I can't say that the best part of my job is the work itself. The best part of my job is the people that I work with.
