Q7: Favorite parts - industry
What do you enjoy most about being in your industry? I love the battery manufacturing and storage industry. Everything right now is related to renewable energy, and you can't do anything with renewable energy unless you can store it.
So, working in the battery industry is one of the best things. I think it's comparable to the tech boom back in 2000. Now, everything's about, yes, we can get energy from the sun, we can get energy from the wind, but where and how do you store it?
And if we do store it, is it reliable enough? Is it affordable? So, for me, being in this industry is an amazing opportunity. Also, being with this company, we work on LFP, lithium iron phosphate batteries, so they're safer.
There's more testing being done on them, so they don't ignite like regular batteries. They're a lot safer. It's good to be in an industry where we're working on cutting-edge battery technology.
We're also doing some recycling, so we're learning all about how to get the battery material back into the market. Instead of mining for it, we can get the minerals out and then reuse them. The whole storage, the battery industry is just amazing. It's an amazing time to be in this type of industry, to be honest.
