What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
In my industry, specifically the agricultural aspect, I'm really interested in how food is grown. Agriculture is huge in California and is vital not only to our state's economy but also to feeding people locally, nationally, and even globally. We are one of the major agricultural producers internationally.
In my technical field, which is the public sector or government, I most enjoy my work-life balance. I get to work from home a lot with a hybrid schedule. It's pretty low-stress compared to some private sector jobs I could have pursued.
I basically clock in and out and I'm done with work for the day. I don't have to be on my phone at night, stressed about work, which is something other industries entail. I also enjoy my really good benefits with the state and strong job security. Those are the things I enjoy about that industry.
