What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I love learning new technologies. A lot of what I do is intellectual property and internet law litigation, so I'm always learning something new.

Back in 2000, when I moved back to California, one of the first things I adopted was a TiVo. You could stop TV with it, and it was fascinating and wonderful. Now everybody does it.

But we get to be on the leading edge of technology, and every case is a new technology. I also really enjoy learning about my clients' businesses and getting to tell their stories. That's what I do in court.

That's what I do to opposing counsel: really explain and tell their stories so they can be heard. I love that aspect of my career.
