What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

Coming from Financial Services, where I sometimes worked with companies or clients whose businesses I didn't even understand, working in entertainment is the exact opposite. It's the one industry that everyone in the world is familiar with, featuring companies that everyone in the world knows exist.

When you get to work in that environment, and that's your context for day-to-day projects and interactions, it just makes the job more enjoyable. A random movie title will come up in daily discourse, or you'll see something in the trades and mention it to your boss.

It's definitely a more fun context for appreciating the more routine business tasks you have to do involving Excel and PowerPoint. Having the entertainment context for the monotony of a job definitely makes it the most interesting.
