Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and internships or jobs you've had before your current role?
In college, I majored in English. I worked at Starbucks and did an internship at an online education company, doing marketing and regular intern work. I liked it, but it wasn't really where I wanted to be.
After graduating, I took a sales role at a foreign exchange company. This company did B2B FX payments. The energy of the company seemed really exciting, and it seemed like there was a lot I could learn there.
I ended up staying there a little over eight years. Along the way, a friend introduced me to crypto. They were wondering if our ethics company did that.
Eventually, I went down the crypto rabbit hole, attending meetup groups and reading everything I could. That is what led me to Coinbase, where I am now and have been for a little over two and a half years.
