Favorite Parts Of Working In Environmental Non-Profit As A Partnerships Manager
Mike's favorite aspect of the environmental non-profit industry is the "solution-focused" nature of the organizations Mike works with, offering "a bit more hope" in contrast to prevalent climate anxiety. This hope stems from encountering numerous companies actively pursuing sustainability initiatives, whether by improving existing practices or developing entirely new approaches.

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
It took me years to figure out something that I really feel passionately about and that I can work towards. The organizations I work with now, the ACCT and Taryn, both highlight companies that are focused on solutions.
There's a lot of climate anxiety and fear surrounding this whole topic. The organizations I work with bring a bit more hope to the table.
This is similar to one of the previous questions. Especially with Taryn, I meet different partners and companies that are trying to do things. Whether they're making their current industry more sustainable or starting something entirely new, it brings hope to the conversation.
This really helps to stave off the climate anxiety that comes along with it.
