What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
For myself, I've been in business for quite some time prior to the company we started. Many business owners and founders I look up to or follow have faced numerous failures.
I wish I had learned earlier the importance of true self-belief. This includes believing in what you're doing, what you're offering, and your ability to persevere as a business owner creating something from nothing.
Ultimately, even with a market and an industry, you're creating something from scratch. Everything needs to be built anew, and failure is part of that process. You'll encounter setbacks, rejection, and unexpected challenges.
Through all of this, there's personal development and growth. You'll question who you are, why you're doing this, your purpose, and whether it's worth continuing.
You'll ask yourself "why me?" and question your qualifications. These challenges will test your belief system.
I wish I had known from the beginning that this was such a core pillar of what I do daily. I feel things would have been easier as I started out. I thought if I just followed the steps, took the right path, and did everything correctly, things would fall into place.
However, there are so many twists and turns that will challenge you. Believing in yourself, your ability to keep showing up, and your resilience will drive you forward. Continuing to push the mission and vision of what you want and are creating will undoubtedly lead to success. This success is inevitable if you have that underlying belief system.
