What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As the director of programs, I spend a lot of time on program management. This involves a lot of coordination between different stakeholders, both internally at Greentown Labs and externally with the organizations we collaborate with.
In my role, I work with giant corporations, small startups, investors, and other individuals in the climate ecosystem. Coordinating these diverse groups and bringing them together in various forums is a significant part of my responsibilities.
I also set strategic direction for programs, including curriculum design and scoping. This means selecting the technology areas for a particular program and, with curriculum design, identifying the specific needs of the startups we work with. Then, I figure out who can lead sessions to help them fill those gaps.
A large portion of my work also involves business development. I collaborate with stakeholders, primarily corporations, to understand their climate and sustainability needs. I determine if startups can assist them and if partnering with Greentown Labs aligns with their sustainability and net-zero goals.
