Favorite Parts of Being an Independent Strategy and Leadership Consultant
Michael, a Senior Strategy & Leadership Consultant, finds the most rewarding aspect of the role to be "helping people solve problems and impart knowledge," a passion rooted in childhood experiences where simple solutions brought transformative change. This translates to the "Pinnacle" of the career: witnessing the "aha" moment when clients realize what's possible, echoing the impactful solutions received from their own mother.

What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
What I enjoy most about my current role is that I've always been a helper, even as a kid. I love helping people solve problems and sharing the knowledge and wisdom I've gained. It feels fulfilling internally and satisfies a need within me.
I know that sounds selfish, but I'm genuinely doing what I love, and that's my driving force. If I had to pick what's special about it, it's when I explain things and feel like I'm bringing hope to people. They get that "aha!" moment, that feeling of "I can really do this."
I can relate to that feeling because, as a child, I'd go to my mother with a problem that was bothering me. The solutions she'd give me were so simple, yet they completely changed my attitude and outlook.
So, when I see that in others, I think of myself as that kid again. I get the same feelings, and that's what I enjoy most. It's when I present an idea to someone, and they say, "Yes, that's what I've been missing!" That's the pinnacle for me.
