As someone who identifies as a first-generation immigrant, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career?
It's definitely had an amazing impact, coming here from Nigeria. I think about it every day that my parents came here to provide an American dream for myself and my siblings.
So, the way I've navigated my career has always been about giving back to them and to the family that we left behind. This includes taking care of my mother as she gets older or even taking care of distant relatives still back in Nigeria.
The steps I've taken and the reason why I work so hard and am so driven all go back to that. It definitely has had an impact in what gets me up out of bed every day and what keeps me going and striving for more.
