Could you walk me through your career path? Please start with your experiences in college, and then any internships or jobs you had before your current role.

My name is Michael Wernick. I work for Savills, a commercial real estate advisory firm. I'm here in our downtown Los Angeles office.

I got started in this role by taking a step back. I went to the University of Arizona and then worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks, doing sales, ticket sales, suite sales, and season tickets.

I realized I was good at sales, but I wasn't making a lot of money in that role. This got me interested in real estate and led to my pivot into commercial real estate. The skills I learned with the Arizona Diamondbacks kind of prepared me for a job in commercial real estate, and that's how I got on this career path.
