What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
This industry, particularly the nonprofit world, is quite unique. It's relatively easy to see what you enjoy most about being here.
I really love seeing our impact. We were an LGBTQ+ nonprofit focused on youth, and also on the ability to support and understand what LGBTQ+ people needed in their own community, as well as working with youth and seeing what they needed.
Being able to address that, talking to people in that space, was an incredibly special situation. It was our mission to directly work with youth, allies, and other LGBTQ+ people.
Being able to see and talk to people about how we could help them, and then actually seeing what we were able to do and the help it provided, made it very special. I think that's a big part of it.
There's always something to do, but every little step feels like you overcame a mountain. It just has that special sense of impact to it.
