Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
I went to college at New York University and studied in a program called Global Liberal Studies for the first couple of years. This program involved studying a language, taking classes centered around its history, and then traveling to the country where that language was spoken.
During my time at NYU, I took many classes in liberal studies and media and communications. Ultimately, my studies led to a couple of career paths I've really enjoyed.
First, I developed a real enjoyment of chatting with and meeting new people. Second, I developed a love for traveling. After finishing at NYU, I was able to study abroad in a couple of cool places.
I also taught English as a second language to children at a school in Thailand. While I enjoyed that experience, I realized I wasn't a great teacher. I ultimately wanted a career more focused on communicating with customers, being with people, and analyzing data.
When I returned from Thailand, I started at a tech company called G2, a software review company. There, I performed market analysis of different software data. I spoke with customers, broke down data from different software markets, and observed how the software landscape was changing.
I noticed that while I did a lot of internal data analysis, I loved talking to customers the most. This led me to my current role at Groove, where my focus is entirely on speaking with customers and enabling them to succeed with our sales software.
This summarizes my path from college to now, including the different career paths and roles I've taken.
