Favorite Parts Of Working In The Law Industry As An Associate
Michael's most rewarding aspect of working in the legal industry is representing clients in the impact investing and social enterprise space, "facilitating the movement of capital" towards addressing societal issues such as "climate change, ag tech inequality," aligning financial success with positive social impact. This focus on purpose, while still working at a large law firm, is what keeps Michael engaged in their career.

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
When I transitioned to law firms, I switched to a practice group more focused on impact investing and social enterprise. Largely, I still facilitate the movement of capital.
My current clientele is focused more specifically on using private markets to try and solve certain issues. This includes climate change, ag tech, and inequality.
I enjoy working with clients who are focused on more than just making money. They invest in companies that aim for success and profit, but also tackle societal issues. That's what has kept me at a large law firm.
