What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
My current role has so much potential for variety, and it's different every day. I get to work directly with people.
I've been client-side for many years in my career, and that is really rewarding work in itself. I've found more value in being directly with the people I work with at my company.
I have the opportunity to see them through their day-to-day responsibilities and form personal connections. I can understand them on a deeper level, find out what they're passionate about, and help them solve challenges, especially if they are new in their career and encountering something for the first time.
I feel I have a real opportunity to share what I've learned and help people navigate challenges with less pain. This allows them to learn without carrying too much of the burden. It's also more fun to have personal connections and talk to people daily.
I enjoy a heads-down project every now and then. However, that's not what makes me want to go into the office or get out of bed to go to work at a computer. I want to be with people and have that personal connection.
