What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
The level of positions can vary, depending on where your talents lie. For me, I hire a lot of coordinators.
Coordinators can do a number of different roles and responsibilities, but they are basically the heartbeat of the Creator economy. When I'm on partnership calls and we're building out some sort of deal proposal, coordinators are there jotting down details.
They're basically assisting in the actual workflow and process. There are coordinators that help create or succeed. Let's say creators sign a deal, and it's in progress; these coordinators are specifically helping to move things along on a daily basis.
There's a ton of opportunity for entry-level positions out of college. It's similar to if you're interested in working in film, TV, or the music industry. Digital is just another arm. People who work on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok are in a similar field.
It's very similar work to being a production assistant or working in an agency. Working as a coordinator at a digital company like Jellysmack or Spotter is a great opportunity right out of college.
