What skills are most important for a job like yours?
In the startup environment, especially at my level, a crucial skill is the ability to zoom out and see the big picture. Simultaneously, it's important to be able to drill into the details and understand how things actually get done.
Right now, there are limited processes for our accountants or property managers. Therefore, providing them with the necessary skills and tools to do their jobs effectively is key. This requires a strong understanding of the overall objective, as well as the ability to analyze it at a granular level.
I believe this is one of the most significant skills required to be a controller.
