What do you enjoy most about being in your specific industry?
There are many challenges in the pharmaceutical industry, and people often give it a bad reputation. However, at the end of the day, we are trying to help people. On the scientific side, we are working to solve, treat, and cure some of the most challenging and brutal diseases on the planet.
There are very few industries where you can think that what you're doing today might actually be the cure for cancer, or that it might help a certain number of people and really save so many lives. It's rare to have that kind of impact.
I think it's a beautiful industry because it's not individualistic. It's not an industry where one person makes everything. Instead, you need to work as a team. These are massive challenges that require teams of dedicated, brilliant people. Surrounding yourself with such people in an industry is incredibly rewarding.
