What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

Working in the industry, one of the most fun aspects is that it's a very interesting field. There's always something new, some new technology launching that will revolutionize the industry in some way. That's always fascinating because there's always something new to learn or develop.

Dell has to acquire or partner with companies to increase our capabilities. All of that is very interesting, especially with the rapid growth of AI and cybersecurity. Dell was the first to acquire Cylance, which had AI-capable cybersecurity.

It was exciting to be at the forefront of that. Having that constant new technology and invention is very interesting, especially for someone like me who is an avid learner. I just enjoy learning new things and being educated on them.

There's constantly something new, which can be a plus or a downside depending on the person. If you don't like being challenged or having to adapt and learn new technologies just to stay current, it's not the right industry.

But for people who thrive on that, it's very interesting. Especially when you're on the front wave of inventive technology, you get to be the go-to expert in a new area where there really are no experts. You get to be seen as that high-level, go-to person.

That kind of thing is fascinating when it's changing and growing so quickly and is so adaptive. There really is nothing like it, and it moves so quickly. You kind of just have to hold on at times.
