What do you enjoy most about being in your role?
I really enjoy how dynamic development is, and how each day is truly different. I work with a wide range of people with different expertise, from lawyers to engineers, project finance folks, ecologists, biologists, public affairs, politicians, lobbyists, communications, and marketing people.
You are the hub of the wheel, and your job is to engage different people at different stages and use their expertise to develop a project. For that reason, the job is incredibly dynamic.
I have both steel-toed boots and dress shoes; you need both for this role, and I really like that. I also love that I'm not at a desk all day, every day. For me, that was a big challenge in my past job. I really love that I need to get away from the desk at least once or twice a week to do this job effectively.
