That's a good question. I think within the data science track, the people who really thrive in this community are those willing to get their hands dirty a little bit. They want to go through each aspect of the dataset and understand what it's doing.
They want to ensure they're not pulling bad data and that they truly understand the project's core. People who are good critical thinkers, willing to learn, and open to trying new things also thrive.
People who are curious about data really do well in this role. I also think good communicators who can work with stakeholders are essential. While some data scientists don't interact with many stakeholders, those who do well are strong communicators.
They can work with stakeholders on a day-to-day basis and articulate their thoughts to achieve the goal the stakeholder is looking for.
