What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might want to consider?
That's a great question, Shane. I strongly encourage everyone to get into sales, even for a short time. You learn a lot about the company you're working with because you have to sell its product.
You also learn how that product works in the market by interacting with customers. Additionally, you gain a lot of exposure within the organization. You get to see how the organization flows from an insider's perspective and an outsider's perspective because you're often the middleperson.
So, yes, there are many different aspects, like lead qualification, inside sales, and outside sales. Just Google "sales" or "LinkedIn sales."
