What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
What I enjoy most is the freedom to hang out with people and build relationships. I think that's huge.
You become such a part of the community, especially in law enforcement. People don't see you as just a cop or a police officer; they see you as London.
I tell people, "Don't call me Officer McBride. I have a first name. It's London. Just call me London." That builds relationships.
Then, people tell you about everything, and I think that's really cool. They see you as part of their family, celebrating birthdays and even sad occasions with them. It's huge when they bring you into their personal space.
What I really enjoy most about this position are the times I get to build real relationships with people. That benefits both of us, and it's been the most enjoyable part of this journey in law enforcement.
