What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
My firm is really small, so I see eight to 10 of the same people every day, and we're all pretty close. It doesn't really matter what level you are in the firm; everyone's friends with each other, so I enjoy that a lot.
I'd also say there are really interesting technologies we work with because all these startups are so young and bright-eyed. They're always doing these crazy things, so that's a lot of fun.
For example, I'm working with a company that's trying to figure out a way to make carbon fiber from stuff that bacteria make via fermentation. It's not petrochemically derived at all; it's completely different than how carbon fiber is normally made. They're trying to use that to make sheet metal and parts for planes.
They're many years away from being able to do that, but it's just a lot of crazy cool technologies you wouldn't think of.
