What did you enjoy most about being in your industry?
While it could be stressful being in such a fast-paced environment, tech is really fast-paced. It was also really exciting. It was amazing to see how quickly the product innovated and the progress that was constantly being made, along with all the new integrations that were coming out.
Every month, there were new things coming out with the product, and it was really exciting to see. It got you excited about the future of the product and where the company was going. So, fast pace can be really stressful, but it's also really exciting and can keep you motivated, which I liked a lot.
Other than that, I think tech can be such a bubble, in a good and a bad way. But I was able to, and I think in a lot of tech jobs, you're able to meet so many people in other tech companies. I got the chance to meet a lot of people in different roles, from CEOs and CFOs to AEs and SDRs, all across the board.
I got the opportunity to meet a ton of people and make a lot of connections. Those connections matter down the line. When you leave a company, having built relationships with people in dozens of different companies is really awesome to have in your back pocket.
You know you have other people to rely on to hear how their role is going, if they like their company, or how they handle certain situations. You get a feel for all the different companies and how they do things, and you can figure out where you want to go next when you're ready to leave a role. So, the bubble can be bad in some ways, but mostly it's good because you can build a ton of connections and utilize them throughout your career.
