Q1: Career path
I got my undergrad at the University of Washington and my MBA at Arizona State. I have over 30 years of experience in healthcare, mostly in hospitals and health systems.
I was a hospital CFO for years and a hospital COO for years. Then I moved into corporate VP roles.
My last corporate role was as a senior vice president at Scripps Health. There, I had system-level oversight for supply chain and most of the ancillary areas. This included pharmacy, lab, surgery, imaging, and endoscopy.
My responsibility covered an annual budget of over a billion dollars a year. I left a year and a half ago and started my own consulting and advisory business.
