A Day in the Life of a Buyer at Nili Lotan
A fashion buyer's day-to-day activities vary greatly; when "in market," a typical day involves reviewing collections in showrooms, deciding on "which stores" receive specific items and quantities, and even overseeing fabric and goods purchasing. Conversely, days spent outside market focus on analyzing sales data, managing inter-store transfers, and performing other essential internal tasks for the company.

What does a day in the life of a fashion buyer look like?
It's pretty involved and changes on a day-to-day basis with a buyer. If you're in market, it would look like coming to the showroom and looking at all the clothes. You'd decide what needs go to which stores and the quantities attached to each item.
Then, it's purchasing the fabric and goods to make the garments. If it's not in market, then it involves analyzing sales and recapping the company. It also includes doing transfers of clothes between stores for the company. So, it really changes.
