Transcript
What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate or graduate student might consider?
At our organization, we offer many summer internships. We accept both undergraduate and graduate students.
Typically, undergraduates focus on systems administration, user provisioning, or data management. For example, we might give them tablets and ask them to download apps. This helps them understand how our company manages devices.
Undergraduate interns usually have a shorter stay with us, only a couple of months. Because of this, we don't get to do a deep dive with them.
Graduate students, however, often intern with us as part of their program requirements. They stay for months and essentially work part-time as an employee in our office. They engage in project management.
This can range from simple summer or vacation internships to larger programs where we partner with graduate programs.
