What does a day in the life of an anthropologist and nonfiction book author look like?
Unpredictable. Very satisfying, but a little scary. I never really knew where my next source of income was going to be, and I wasn't particularly great at networking.
Fortunately, in my world, one job led to another, but not always on my own schedule. I had lots of periods of dry downtime.
I had to come up with an adaptive way of living to accommodate the lack of certainty of where the next paycheck was coming from.
