Size and type of company dictates what opportunities are available.

What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergrad or a grad student might consider?

I think it really depends on what kind of piece of the business you want to go into. Depending on that, I would say marketing coordinators. A lot of the bigger construction companies have a marketing coordinator.

If you want to go into the sales side, I think inside sales is often a great place to start. In terms of project management, some companies do have project management coordinators, so you can kind of enter that way.

And then, obviously, there are kind of entry-level coordinating accounting roles and things like that. So it really just depends on how big or small the company you're looking at, and what kind of opportunities they offer. But really, there is kind of an entry-level position for every business sector of the construction industry.
