Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
Absolutely. I was an economics undergraduate major with interests in international relations and environmental studies. My primary internship between my junior and senior year was in a sales operations department at an Irish newspaper.
This experience was great, and I felt I really learned a lot about being in a corporate environment. That was paired with paid research opportunities and tutoring jobs throughout undergrad.
My first job was at my alma mater, Wake Forest. I worked a lot with international students, trying to bring returning study abroad students and international students into a common community.
I realized I really wanted to move to DC and go back into corporate life. So, I got my master's degree in business analytics and immediately moved to DC. I've been at Deloitte for seven years now and have had four jobs in consulting.
