How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I think it's people who want to be active. If you want a job where you're sitting down all day long behind a desk, I think that's great if that's what you want, but that's not what's going to thrive here.
We're fast-paced; we're go, go, go. Things change, and you have to be able to adapt to that quickly.
Also, people who want to have fun and, of course, want to work with kids. Not just work with kids, but understand the bigger picture and why we do what we do.
Yes, of course, we coach gymnastics. That's why kids are coming to the gym, to learn gymnastics. But also, we're doing so much more than that. So you have to see the bigger picture. We're teaching school readiness.
We're teaching these kids how to live in the world around them, have good manners, socialize, and work together as a team. So, I think that's really important that people have that understanding that it's bigger than you. You are going to give a lot of yourself.
It's also really, really fun, so you have to want to have fun. You have to not be afraid to be silly. We get to wear t-shirts and leggings, so people who want to be in comfy clothes all day long, get some exercise, and be active. Those are some of the core characteristics of people who want to work at our gym.
