Transcript

Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had before your current role?

I went to Sacramento State and majored in liberal studies. I declared my major right from the beginning because I knew I always wanted to work with kids.

During college, I did a lot of internships and spent a lot of time in the classroom. I worked with children of various ages. As part of my major, I also had to create lesson plans for different ages and school subjects.

Additionally, in this major, we worked with teams and groups frequently. I believe this fostered my understanding of leadership and the fact that as a business owner, you have to work collaboratively. It's not just your ideas that matter, and bringing in a lot of people truly helps.

Of course, working with kids helped me with my current path, but developing lesson plans and the teamwork aspect of my major have also stuck with me. Those three things, in particular, have really stood out.
