What does a day in the life of a civil design engineer look like?
I spend a lot of my time in AutoCAD or Civil 3D. This is how we prepare the construction documents and pull together our plans. We spend a lot of time in CAD.
We also do hydrology reports and spreadsheets for sizings, like for storm piping and whatnot. It's a lot of CAD work, Excel, and just going through the motions.
