What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
At the end of the day, I always say my biggest responsibility is putting out whatever is on fire. It's also very true that as a startup founder and as a CEO, you don't have the luxury of a super defined task to complete.
You're constantly living in uncertainty: Are we building the right technology? How do we build it? What's the question we're trying to answer? What value are we delivering to our clients?
You're trying to guide a group of people to answer those questions as best they possibly can. My responsibility is to bounce around between facilitating intelligent problem-solving in my team and immediately stepping in when anything isn't going well. I help facilitate and foster movement and effort on that front.
It is one of the most diverse jobs I think I've ever come across. This means it's both wonderful and no day is ever the same, but also incredibly hard. I'm constantly wondering if I'm doing this as well as I could. Sometimes I have no idea.
