How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

I believe you have to be a go-getter, not too dependent on anyone. I believe the most effective prosecutor, while we have a lot of resources, at the end of the day, you're responsible for your own case.

It's trusted that you won't need to be handheld through the process. So, over the past five years, I've developed the skills I've needed to file cases without leaning on anyone.

I've also learned to negotiate my cases, decide what a proper resolution is, and ultimately be able to try cases. In the agency I work for, or the firm if you will, the county, we don't typically second-share cases.

So when we try cases, it's just us versus the defense.
