What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I love what I do. Honestly, I think just seeing patients come in with a specific illness or pathology and knowing that you played a critical role in getting them to their baseline or how they used to be, is so rewarding.

For instance, some people come in with a bleed in their brain, unable to move their extremities or do anything. They're intubated, and you take them to the OR to evacuate that blood.

Then, the next day, you see them moving all their extremities and literally talking to you back. I think that's the most rewarding experience you would ever see because there's that instant gratification.

You do something and immediately you're able to see results. It's not every time that we see immediate results, but when you're able to get to see it, or someone has a tumor and you take it out and then all of a sudden they're good, I think that makes it so rewarding.

That instant gratification, knowing that what you do changes this person's whole life, I think that makes the career that I'm in very rewarding.
