What is one lesson that you have learned that's proven significant in your career?
I think one of the most important things in an industry like finance is endurance. You have to persevere and be able to repeat that every day.
One of the biggest lessons I've learned is to develop a self-care routine. How can you reset for tomorrow?
How can you really sit for 30 minutes to an hour, think about your day, and figure out what you did right, what you did wrong? What requires thought and what doesn't?
In the moment, I could be angry about something and just keep going with it. But unless I sat down to think about why I was angry, why it made me angry, and if it was justified, I wouldn't have let it go. That anger would have carried over.
The ability to reset and think about what you've been doing has been the most important for me. It allows me to be persistent and keep up what I'm doing every day because I have that time to myself to level set and get going again.
